Our History

Est. 2012; YMS is a global umbrella membership organization designed to collaborate and uplift agencies, programs, and businesses that specifically empower, educate, engage and revitalize the strength of African American, Latinx American, and other Ethnic men of color through media, consulting, and mentorship.

Digital and print magazine is the #1 and only ultimate global innovative, creative resource and tool for restoring Communication in Love and Celebrating bold and beautiful everyday Men/Women of color.  

This unique double-sided magazine intentionally designed to focus on 1 issue and how it impacts and engages both men and women of color, educating on how to better understand each other and the plight of unification and developing the strength needed to demonstrate integrity, loyalty, peace, and struggle in love together.

Learning effective tools, gaining knowledge, opportunities, building network, and offering services that restore hope and faith in your self-worth, your interpersonal relationships, and community. 

CONSULTATION

Our Business Consulting aspect of Y.M.S is developing strategic partnerships with thriving small to large businesses to assist in growing & developing diversity & male of color inclusion within their environment. Creating a pathway for our members to gain mental health support and invaluable hands-on training/skill development for emotional, financial security and sustainable employment.

  • One on One Counseling: (Online)
    As a Mental Health Counselor, I offer 45-minute counseling sessions with young/adult men (fee-for-service).
  • Business to Business Affiliate program (learn how you can be a part and grow money for your business)
    We offer a platform for businesses to connect with other businesses that empower people of color and themselves via THOUGHTS magazine. Our goal is to always connect resources that will benefit people in and out of incarceration.
  • Young Men’s Black Holiday workshop: (online)
    This happens from December 26- January 1 for 45 minutes. For 7 days of Kwanzaa, we go through the entire Nguzo Saba and combine the day with their current level of accountability and responsibility in their daily lives. All participants who complete all days will get a gift and sign the YMS Nguzo Saba Pledge.
  • Men’s Group Therapy: (Online)
    This is a 4-week 45-minute group session that only involves young men every other month starting February to December. Our lead facilitator is a man, he’s hand chosen that can offer wisdom, guidance, and instructional foundation to the other members.

Our Weekly Newsletters

Our weekly newsletters will be adventurous, as we will cover an extensive list of topics such as: 

  • Weekly online newsletter (word/phrase to increase vocabulary & literacy)- More fun and interactive based (clues, trivia, empowering word search, ‘Did You Know’ trivia, comic strips, horoscopes, Winners, Spotlight, contests, Giveaways, Updates, etc.)

  • Letter 82, Let’s Think & Talk, Spicy Topics, Inventors, Word of the Day

Men Coping Skills

Every Monday, we mobilize and heal our young and adult men via Zoom to fellowship and support each other, who are deeply impacted by the unrest and national outcry.
